We're using the German €9 ticket to cross the country north - south, but the popularity of the ticket makes it so that all regional trains are incredibly crowded.
We found space to play the Switch only when 'schwarzfahren' on the ICE between Duisburg and Koblenz.
We arrived in Kaiserslautern and Leonie picked us up. Roadtrip fellowship complete!
A long day of travel ended at Leonie's mom's house. We got pizza from the place where Leonie worked all summer.
And took Milo on an evening walk before heading to bed to prepare for tomorrow's early morning.
